The following energy-saving tips and guides will help you make informed decisions on the most cost-effective energy-efficient actions and improvements in your residence.

The Home Series consists of six helpful publications you can use to obtain detailed information on heating, cooling, air sealing, insulation, water heating and major home appliances. Click on your topic of interest and find quick tips, low-cost /no-cost do it yourself projects and guides to determine the most cost effective investments in energy efficiency.

A series of two-page Fact Sheets has been developed for Energy Efficiency Arkansas, a partnership between the Arkansas Energy Office and Arkansas’s investor owned gas and electric utilities and cooperatives. These fact sheets include helpful tips and facts on heating, cooling, water heating, appliances and lighting and sealing air leaks.

  • Home Energy Projects

    Homeowners and buyers will be able to identify those cost effective energy conservation measures that will benefit them the most in reducing energy consumption and increasing comfort in their homes. Step by step instructions will aid the do-it-yourselfer in installing low cost no cost measures, determine the appropriate insulation levels in attics, floors and walls, how and where to weatherstrip and caulk air leakage points, selecting storm or replacement windows and efficient appliances.
