Use Attainability Analysis (UAA)
A Use attainability analysis (UAA) is a structured scientific assessment of the factors affecting the attainment of the fishable/swimmable use which may include physical, chemical, biological and economic factors.
UAA studies are often conducted to show that proposed Site Specific Criteria will not alter the existing uses of a waterbody.
For more details refer to Rules 2.303 and 2.308 and the State Of Arkansas Continuing Planning Process (CPP).
Methods for conducting a use attainability analysis may be found in the November 1983 United States Environmental Protection Agency publication entitled Technical Support Manual: Waterbody Surveys and Assessments for Conducting Use Attainability Analyses.
